General Information For New Weekly
Market Vendors

We are always looking for new vendors for the market but keep in mind we are a "growers only" market, but exceptions are made for cottage food, mobile food, and limited art and craft  vendors when space is available. Vendors who are interested in selling at our market are advised to visit us before they apply. Get a feel for what it is like, observe the booths of the vendors selling here now, notice the ways the goods are displayed, and look at the signs showing the prices and see how our vendors interact with the customers.

All vendors must provide any applicable documentation for their selection of products. This will likely include at least a few of the following but each application below has a list of exactly what you need:
  • A signed Vendor Application agreeing to comply with the market rules accompanied with a $20 application fee.
  • A Grower's Permit signed by their county Extension Office is required for any 'grown' items.
  • Proof of a minimum $1,000,000 liability insurance policy is required from vendors selling any kind of processed food product.  For example, if you grow blueberries, you only need a county issued Grower's Permit to sell them, fresh, frozen or dehydrated at our market.  If you turn them into jam or jelly or other cottage food products you need liability insurance, and must label them per these Cottage Food guidelines.
  • Nursery Registration from the Division of Plants and Industry is required to sell non-edible plants.
  • Proof of Licensed Kitchen or Mobile Vendor Food Permit is required to sell prepared foods, unless Cottage Food Law applies.
  • Other applicable documentation and inspections as it pertains to what you want to sell.
  • Additionally, every grower/farmer/bee keeper must be peer-grower inspected prior to starting at the market to assure compliance with the rules and regulations of the market.
In order to maintain a quality market, an application renewal and up-to-date copies of these documents must be provided each market year (peer inspection every 3 years or per complaint), which begins April 1st. Every vendor should also be familiar with the market's Rules and Regulations, as well as the Bylaws.

 Application Process

All Applications must be done online(click the link at the bottom of the page), there is a $20 application fee due at time of the application. Once the application and $20 fee have both been received with all necessary documents, the market manager will present new vendor applications to the board of directors once a month during our monthly meeting for approval and will reach out regarding status and next steps. In the mean time if you have any questions please reach out via email or phone. We also recommend going to fdacs.com to review the state requirements, as we align with them on license and liability requirements.

Annual Member (Weekly Vendor)
An Annual Membership is a good option for growers who anticipate having crops to sell almost every week year round. Annual Members are voting members of ACFM Inc. They are a grower/farmer/beekeeper and grow/raise what they sell. Each grower renting an annual space April 1st - March 31st at the market must pay annual membership dues of $125. Selling space rental fees are $400 plus tax per year depending on the space selected and reserves your space every Saturday. All spaces vary. Annual Members may renew their existing assigned spaces or participate in a lottery for any unassigned spaces each market year. E
very grower of the market must pay the $40 peer-grower inspection fee, plus mileage before attending market. After the initial inspection a peer grower inspection is done every 3 years to assure compliance with the rules are still being met or if a complaint is made regarding what a vendor might be selling.

Daily Grower (Daily Vendor)
A daily vendor is not an official member and does not have the rights to vote on ACFM Inc matters. They are a grower/farmer/beekeeper and grow/raise what they sell. This is a good choice for vendors whose products are available only for a short season. It may also help those who want to see how well they do at the market before committing to selling there every week. A daily vendor does not have a predetermined space. They are assigned a space starting at 8:00am and fill in the available spaces based on which annual vendors might not have shown or are to fill in the grassy areas in the back per market managers discretion. Daily Vendors pay a daily space rental fee of $25 per Saturday attendance. In addition to the space rental, every grower of the market must pay the $40 peer-grower inspection fee, plus mileage before attending market. After the initial inspection a peer grower inspection is done every 3 years to assure compliance with the rules are still being met or if a complaint is made regarding what a vendor might be selling.
